LOST Study Hall

ABC’s hit Television show LOST returns this fall with a third season and new mysteries for fans to explore. If you’re just getting into the whole LOST phenonanom then here are two quick books you should get your hands on to catch you up. First is The Lost Chronicles: The Official Companion Book. This came out at the beginning of season two and will serve to refresh the memories of all those first season goodies you’ve probably forgotten about.

The second book is brand new and is edited by Science Fiction author Orson Scott Card. Getting Lost: Survival, Baggage, and Starting Over in J. J. Abrams’ Lost is a collection of essays that provides insight into the most talked-about issues from the series. It includes chapters on Why the Survivors Must Be in Another Dimension (or the Twilight Zone), Lord of the Lost: Jack vs. Locke, The Others: Where On Earth Did They Come From . . . or Did They?, and A Theologian’s View of the Island as Purgatory. The Art of Cars

One of the things I like to do to get excited about Disney or Pixar’s next animated feature is get my hands on the ‘Art of’ book for the film. "The Art of Cars" is by far one of the best entries into this genre I’ve ever seen.

In addition to the usual art, concept sketches, etc. This is a fascinating look at Route 66, racing tracks across America, and the personalities met along the way.
