When I first saw this Disney Big Thunder Mountain Starter Set at Epcot’s Food and Garden Festival I immediately knew what I wanted for Father’s Day. Trains have a special meaning to any fan of Walt Disney and I’ve always wanted a train set in my backyard just like Uncle Walt had. The set is from LGB and it is in G-Scale, which makes it a little unusual for American audiences, but it’s still very cool.

Monorails, Attraction Vehicles, Signs, Costumes, even Club 33 toilet towels, have all been auctioned off on eBay at one time or another. This one, however, takes the cake. A Walt Disney Life Size Wax Museum Figure is being auctioned off by MouseSurplus.
Artist/Designer Pete Carsillo created the one-of-a-kind piece. Carsillo has worked in the past with the official Disney sculptor, Blaine Gibson. Gibson’s work includes Mr. Lincoln and the Partners Statue of Walt and Mickey that sits in the hub at Disneyland and The Magic Kingdom.
